Nintendo don't want the typical CoD audience, these type of gamers will never buy a Wii U. But they want the families and mature sophisticated gamers. The steadily rising Wii U sales seems to indicate that they get these gamers.

 

The Wii U does not need 40 mio sales to be a success. Nintendo earned more money with the gamecube than Sony with Playstation 2, mainly because Nintendo made the successful games of the console themselves. 

Yeah, so that's not true. Nintendo made more money in the GC era because they had the GBA on the side.

Also nice backhanded insult, of course gamers that like third party games can't be mature, all those "mature sophisticated gamers" are being pulled in by Nintendo.
