I'll subtract 4 million and say about 12.

edit: The Holidays is Nintendo's.

Hmmm...so it will sell just under 2 million between now and the end of the year? Hope you aren't planning to take bets on this, as it will be proven wrong by the beginning of Oct (at the lastest). And the holiday won't belong to the WiiU, if that's what you're getting at. I imagine it being outsold by both the X1 as well,  during the holiday.

OT: 16 million is doable, but I'm thinking a bit higher - 18 million.

Maybe 13 million, but definitely not 16.  If it's the Wii U or the New 3DS, it's still Nintendo's holiday.

3DS is not competing wtih home consoles, to that's not relevant. Also not relevant is which console will win the holidays. This is NOT a goddam thread about which console will sell the most in the holidays so please don't derail by trying to make it one. Take that discussion elsewhere or make your own thread. This is a thread that looks at a very reliable metric about Sept-Dec sales vs Jan-Aug. And it is highly predictable that in its first full year on the market a  console (any console) will sell about the same in Sept-Dec as it does Jan-Aug.And that this historical pattern will mean PS4 LTD should get to at least 16 million by 1 Jan 2015.

So if you want to refute 16 million by saying that's too high, please bring data to support that assertion. Otherwise please go and carry on the console warz somewhere else.
