I don't really understand the 12 million prediction at all. As of August 6, Sony officially announced that they sold over 10 million PS4's to consumers. For PS4 to reach 16 million, it only needs to sell under 6 more million in nearly 5 months. Its sales will skyrocket when Destiny comes out because of the white PS4 Destiny bundle (it's listed in Amazon's Top 100 YTD and is climbing up). Driveclub will also contribute to hardware sales and of course, the PS4 will sell a lot in November and December.
