Why so much hate for the "New" Nintendo 3ds???

Because it's a new system within the same generation family that is going to be getting exclusive games on it's own right. To me that's huge slap in the face to those 40 million plus 3DS users. And it's not just going to be Xenoblade, Iwata and Nintendo stated that it's going to be more games.

Seems like a perfect time for complete newcomers to jump in, but what about everyone else who has purchased a 3DS?

Then there's the name. Just imagine to retail confusion next year when parents get a "3DS" for their kids. To me it seems like NIntendo wants to add more problems to their own brand. I guess I understand a revision, but it's like a 3DS.5. Ultimately it just seems like a way to segregate the user base. I wouldn't mind it if there was a way to play those games on the old 3DS, either watered down, or through some type of adapter, but so far nothing has been stated otherwise.

In the end I hope the exclusives won't be THAT big a deal. I mean Xenoblade is nice, but people can play the superior version on the Wii. What if Majora's Mask is coming to the 3DS... exclusively for the new one? Or.. what about Pokemon Z?

Edit: I'm a huge NIntendo fan who loves the 3DS. I own over 33 games for the system and think it's library is fantastic. This isn't some adgenda bashing, just my honest opinion.
