As I have said on other sites:
"temporary workers"
meaning, they were not permanent staff to begin with and they knew and went into the job knowing that their jobs would not last long term. So really, these "cuts" were going to happen sooner or later just by the nature of the contract signed. I don't know why it is such a shock that 190 people who only had temporary positions got laid off.
Also to those saying it is hypocriticle, it's not. They talked against it last year for people who actually had permanent positions which would have been thought to be a stable job, that got told that they were done. This is not the same thing exactly. The people here knew their jobs would end at a certain point and now it has gotten to that point.
