I have no idea.
The New 3DS feels kind of like a peripheral in the console world, like PlayStation Move or Kinect. It has it's own exclusive games that only people with New 3DS can play, just like there are XB games that you can only play with a Kinect.
Like Kinect it may expand the 3DS' market by offering something new that more people will buy, but like Move, it's possible that not enough people will buy it to make it worth while for developers to make New 3DS games instead of regular 3DS games.
