That's easy, it's no different from humans, who can't fly, making a machine that can fly. Our consciousness is just our molecules reacting in a certain way, a trait that naturally developed through natural selection of the more intelligent among our forebears. 

On the flipside, can God create a rock so big he can't lift it? ;)
