If a game is released without online, it gets doubt from gamers and certain reviewers. They will deem it as "boring" and a game with "little replay value" and will detract point from the overall game. If there's a game with a rushed and tacked on multiplayer, gamers and reviewers will cry foul because the online "had so much potential" or "seemed rushed" and will detract points from the overall game. They want to push multiplayer on every game out there nowadays, and not every game needs it. |
