Party Brawler is a sub category for a Fighter. Like Kart Racer is a sub category for a Racer.

I dunno why people say SSB isnt a fighter just because A) Its not the traditional/classic way of fighters (Ex: MK/SF/Tekken) and B) Sakurai Stated its not a fighter.

I mean if SSB is not a figter then Mario Kart is not a racer and Pokemon isnt a JRPG


That's EXACTLY why it's not a fighter. It doesn't mean that it isn't competitive and can't be at EVO. It just means it's the only non-fighting game not at EVO. It's not a fighting game. It's a party game. That's like calling Zelda a fighting game because you fight enemies.

Mario Kart and Pokemon aren't comparisons. Mario Kart is still a racing game. Pokemon is still a JRPG. There's no debating that.
