| Riot Of The Blood said: No. See, the DS situation was different. Both the PS3 and 360 move software, unlike the PSP. Third-parties aren't going to say screw the HD consoles when there is plenty of money to be made on them. The Wii isn't going to get the 3rd party support people expect from a "winning" console. |
Yea, right, revisionist history ftl.
You've already forgotten the DS that was supposed to be crushed by the PSP, the PSP which got all the hardcore games, and who did move software at launch. The DS was seen as a desperate move by Nintendo by people thinking exactly like you do now.
It's funny that you say don't screw the HD consoles that are less successful, but still say the Wii will be screwed (The Wii isn't going to get the 3rd party support people expect from a "winning" console), while it being the most successful console among the three. What you say just isn't rational, at all.
When big videogame 3rd parties will start to see small ones starting to catch to them in profit, and even pass them, thanks to their Wii support, perhaps they will start to understand, but it will be too late.
Nintendo is already crushing all 3rd parties in Japan, since the Wii is out. 3rd parties pretty much know why, now they can make their choice.
