To me it is very much a continuation of "Zelda - E3 Tech Demo".

Every time I try to say that it IS "Zelda" purists come with a lot of arguments that it is not. To me it is a "dark", "mature", "gritty", "realistic", Zelda.

But it's not. It's a hack-n-slash, which Zelda very much isn't. Calling it an open world God of War/Devil May Cry is more accurate. It's Zelda in that it's "open world" and there are dungeons with items to solve puzzles in those dungeons, but mechanically it's very different.

I understand and yet I don't. IMHO it feels like what I imagine a mature, gritty and realistic Zelda would be like. Myself I prefer the happy, colourful, quirky Zelda games. I respect that there are a lot of Zelda connoisseurs that can argue well for their vision of what Zelda is. I am just a happy amateur.
