I keep reading people putting comments like this and the reply I give is always the same. If Sony did this, it would also be seen as a dick move and people (mainly Xbox users) would certainly be complaining. It would not be a genius move and in 2014, the PR would be mostly negative.
Of course, the one difference is that this is an established franchise with a history of being on Playstation and PC. Destiny is a new IP and doesn't have quite the same historical significance. An equivalent would be if Sony suddenly made Mass Effect 4 an exclusive, but again, the PR would be mostly negative.
