The one thing that all gens had in common is the winning console gets supported and that wont change, as the Wii's lead and install base grows larger then it's third party support will also.
I already see companies changing their attitude towards the Wii with THQ showing much more quality with De-Blob and Deadly Creatures, EA acknowledging that My Sims being one of the only games they created from scratch for the Wii being their best seller on the platform, The Wii being Sega's best platform for sales this gen (and probably already made them more than the PS2 ever did), rumours that Ubisoft moved Red Steel 2 development to somewhere else cos they suddenly decided the quality of the game wasn't "high enough", Konami showing so much more time has paid off in Wii Pro evo as compared to their other paltry offerings and the list goes on.
The Wii has nothing to worry about and it's only now it's showing that some of Wii's third party games seriously have legs.
