i think it depends which one you played first, i played two first (my favourite), i think you get used of the jumps scares after you first resident evil, to this day the licker jumping through the mirror ill never forget, but resident evil one is still the og resident evil, and i own four verisons of it, 1 , directors cut, ds version and the masterful remake, which is the best version, stupid crismon heads
