Best game to have never had a sequel/remake/spinoff/spiritual successor?

Dragon Quest 8. I know theres been a lot of DQ games since then, but none have been as big and alive as 8 was. 9 was limited by the DS and 10 is just a MMO... Im hoping 11 is more like 8 v.v
