How many "shots" is your Mend Staff? What does it do exactly? Does it protect someone from death? Revive a dead person in the same night?

It is multi-use. And I'm not going to repeat it, but I wrote down what it does during Day 2. This is what triggered WoW's warning, so I'd rather not do that again!
