| _crazy_man_ said: I was recently watching Brad Jones's Current Movie Reviews, a part of That Guy With Glasses website, of TMNT: http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/bj/bcmr/44327-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles The start of his review was a big rant on his awful theater experience: -Watched in 3D (for review purposes, to state weither its worth it or not) but turns out they accidently showed it in 2D instead. -40 mins in they pause the movie and state they are sorry for the inconvience and restart the movie in 3D. -Walks out to movie hop to the 2D version to meet up with some friends. -Both theatres had screaming kids that were too young to bring to a theater. -One loud kid to his side was telegraphing everything he was seeing to his parent and the parent did nothing to stop him.
And made me think, I've never had a bad experience at a theater, and I usually see at least 5 movies in theater a year. At worst maybe someone on thier phone but each time they either answer it quickly or go outside. Have you'll had a bunch of bad experiences and is this quite common? |
If you live near an Alamo Drafthouse theater, please do go there for now on. They have a very serious zero tolerance policy towards anyone talking or using a phone during a movie. You WILL be forcefully ejected from the theater if you are caught and I think this has a lot to do with the fact that they still employ "ushers" in each theater to keep an eye on the crowd. People will generally tone it down if they know they are being watched by staff.
Try to do at least ONE good deed everyday....
