I did not know, or forgot as well. I would not doubt it though. I remember many of my friends and family getting a Genesis or renting one all the time from the Video store. Some for the blood, and some...i do not know why. It had some weird games I remember.

It was great marketing. It was the first time a company started the whole "Nintendo is lame and for little kids. Our console is for grown ups and badasses" sort of thing that Sony would perfect later on.
