I do know one thing.  If an employee ever hit or touched me, they would be fired on the spot.  Best Buy would make us send them home immeditely and then fire them later, but the result would be the same.  I do agree, it was usaully the worst employees who would cause the most trouble.  I guesss that's why they lost their job so often...  I don't miss the Holiday season.  Man, I used to work 70-100 hours a week from Nov 1st through Jan 15th at Best Buy.  They totally took advantage of the salary deal.

Shoot! If they want to give me overtime I will work it!

I wish!   Managers don't get paid overtime(at BBY anyway) - they get a salary.  From nov 15th-december 28th, all the managers would work their scheduled shift(Minimum of 10 hours a day X 6 days a week during holidays).  Then, we would come back to work out of "uniform" to get more work done (usually 4-8 hours a day X 7 days a week).

Of course, not all managers did the extra hours.  The ones that didn't, didn't stay long at BBY.  The laugher was that I live in the Minneapolis Minnesota area.  It is the home base of Best Buy.  So, all the corporate cronies (5,000+) would come in to the store all the time.  Then they would go back to the corporate office and complain that they couldn't get help at the store(DURING XMAS SEASON).  They were probably the ones who set up the labor budget to begin with??!!

It is near the end of the end....
