I don't think Capcom was happy with the 3DS version sales either that or they feel the audience for RE is on consoles. 


The 3DS version outsold all the other versions almost combined. Its almost 800k now. How can they not be happy with that? oh right its Capcom and there are bad at business which they are very close to going out out.

It was a big 3DS game when the platform had very little to play that they had to release on other platforms to recoup the costs. I don't think you can blame it entirely on Capcom's mismanagement.
