I haven't noticed much at all, but I agree that sexism should be kept off the gaming discussions.

That being said, I think defining "sexism" would also help people out. It's a pretty wide term that engrosses all kinds of conduct.

Defining sexism could be useful. That'd take some doing though, as inevitably it comes down to choosing a 'line' for acceptable conduct.

Today, in one particular thread, a whole raft of people got banned for pretty blatant stuff.

On the other hand, the thread that kljesta64 linked too above contains material that could be considered sexist, and was noted as such by some posters. Others would view it as innocuous banter.

Ultimately I think it should be clear to most people (who consider their posts) that if there is any confusion in your mind, you probably shouldn't be hitting 'submit.'

True. I think a lot of people don't know what is innoucous banter, or moderation-worthy sexism. Each person will have different definitions for the term, just as how each mod will probably view each post differently as well in terms of finding the content just a joke that's borderline banworthy or just pure bannable.

Of course, it is pretty hard to define a term like "sexism" which encompasses so much different conduct, but a lot of people don't use common sense when posting, so "think before you post" might not work for a lot of people.
