People have to understand though the "online" community for games really isn't that big.
The largest online gaming forum is what? NeoGaf? And that's like 130,000 registered accounts. That's a drop in the bucket for game sales.
Just because you hear/sense excitement for something on a message doesn't mean it will get big sales. Wonderful 101, Tearaway, and many other games got good hype on game boards only to suffer mediocre sales.
