I'm not sure I'd agree the AFC East has always been the easiest division the past fifteen years or so - that honor rotates pretty often - but it has definitely been pretty soft, with the exception of the first Sanchez years (no credit to Sanchez for those, btw). That said, the Patriots repeatedly proved their mettle against tougher teams, so I can't say their success is due to weak competition.

 I am going to be super objective then of course the have been good against some good teams. They are in the easiest division on average especially as of late e. This season I say that is the easiest division to claim. Just like it was last year. Brady had won of his worst years ever (if not truly his worst ever) and they still won the division, easily. Being objective too much as a fan is boring.
