Ok, so i'll be satisfied when all the games promised will be released ( most of all fire emblem x shin megami, and they should release a monster hunter wii u ) and when we'll have some more jrpg games. But i can't say really when i'll be satisfied enough, they should make great games as long as they can. The wii u offers great graphics ( not as much as ps4/ xbox one but it's still pretty good ) i don't see why i'll buy a new console. |
Ok thank you, thats the type of response I was looking for. There is one peticular scenario that I would actually be pretty happy if Nintendo released a new console in 2016, if they go for a unified handheld/console approach since Nintendo struggles to support two seperate devices equally.
In 2013, 3DS had excellent 1st party support while Wii U was horrible up until the last few months of the year. This year support is about 50/50 but that still leaves 2-3 month gaps between Wii U releases and 3DS has only recieved 2nd/3rd tier franchises until the holidays. Next seems to lean more in Wii U favor based on the number of titles announced for each platform.
Nintendo can fix this by releasing two seperate devices with the same architecture/OS and similar specs. This way Nintendo can release all games on these unified platforms and the consumer just has to decide if they want to play them on a handheld or a home console.
Nintendo's next gen handheld is likely to be a bit more powerful than Vita just like 3DS is a bit more powerful than PSP, the console version will be a small jump over Wii U similar to GC-Wii that way it can play the games at a higher resolution on the big screen.
