Edit: On what the article is saying, I hardly see this as surprising when alot of games for the 3DS ( especially japanese exclusives) were selling alot week 1 and then having alot of legs. This will probably continue this year though as already stated in the article the wii u version of Mario kart will probably reach 1 million too.
