What the heck are you talking about? Amiibos are a clear cut copy the Skylanders and Disney Infinity toys, simple as that. Your comment doesn't even make sense, the Wii U was made for developers to do what?

The gamepad has NFC techonology built into it. I don't know if this technology was a part of the gamepad before Skylanders and Infinity came out, but Nintendo has been planning on using this technology for a long time.

It's not like it's rare for smartphones or tablets, which clearly inspired the gamepad, to have NFC technology

Them having that in there does not mean they had a set plan for it, much less that they planned to get those figures out, those are an obvious product of Skylanders success.
