I'd agree with most of that. Dante never grew on me at all, to be perfectly honest, but I guess that's as much one person's experience as anything else. It's decent as a standalone title, and quite honestly I think it would've been much better as that considering the backstory could very well be mistaken as something entirely original were it not for the returning names.
Can't say an HD rerelease would inspire me much.
