I'm guessing your Tyranitar was Assualt Vest?  Energy Ball did so little to him...... 

Was your Mega Scizor a Bulky Swords Dance, Offensive Swords Dance, or Defog set?

ya its assualt vested.... it can even take focus blast pretty well
