4. As for TR I believe about a million people have explained this already but while I too hate the decision myself here is why its not a terrible idea. TR is releasing alongside UC4 in holiday 2015, so it was going to be crushed on PS4 anyway. Now when it launches on PS4 it dosent have to compete with UC4 as much. It will also sell quite well on XBO as MS will push its advertising quite hard to try and compete with UC4 in the holidays. Not only will the TR fans buy it but so will any Xbox fanboys who buy games to support the company, and maybe those fanboys end up TR fans who will buy future sequels. The last plus side is the obvious one, $$$. Tomb Raider wouldnt have come cheap. Side note, if MS are doing the advertising for it in 2015 then SQEX can still advertise its PS4 and PC release so it wont just release and people wont notice it.

This is not a legitimate reason. If your game is being overshadowed by a larger franchise in the same launch window, you reschedule, or you send it out to die. You don't skip the platform entirely, make a deal that will enrage longtime fans, then hope they will come back to you later when you release an enhanced edition.

Hell, Tomb Raider has always been bigger on Playstation.  The reboot sold about 500k more copies on the PS3. It's not skipping one platform, it's spurning it's single largest customer base. Its a short term game with lower risk, but it may have a very negative impact long term for them.
