No, you're right. Unless I'm going mad what he's saying is suspicious and false, to an extent at least.
I'm kinda gonna agree with padib and say that theprof is trying to frame Sparks. I guess padib voting theprof put him on the "target list" and as there's a lot of suspicion on me, and as I protected him during the night, he'd throw me in there as well. That would be my guess, and that would be a very underhand tactic indeed.
