The best game of all time? Resident Evil 4 had nothing to do with this.

TLOU is the RE4 of the 7th Gen.

Is it fuck.

Both Breathed life into the survival horror genre, both considered amongst the best games of their generations, both raised the bar in what could be achieved in a 3rd person game using fine tuned gameplay mechanics whilst having an excellent narrative. Heck, both even are escort missions with Leon and Ashley and Joel and Ellie.

I always felt RE4's gameplay was a bigger jump from previous REs than TLoU was from the Uncharteds. As for escort mechanics, RE4 trumps TLoU considering Ellie is invisible in TLoU.
