I don't really know whats up with MS. I really would have thought that after last gen they would have moved away from the whole buying timed exclusivity thing. But after reading this article it just hit me that even right now they are still doing it in force. Ryse, Titanfall, TR are basically all exclusives they have heavily supported and backed that can still come to other platforms.
Whats really funny is that the amount of money they use to secure these timed exclusive deals be it 3months to a year; is pretty much just as much as what they would have used to develop and/fund a brand new IP. And they are right, MS does seem to know how to find IPs with great potential and helping them find their feet.
