This game is what PS3 is all about. When a dev uses a 50GB Blu-ray disc to its full potential it is an experiance you will not get anywhere else this gen. What Kojima has done here is proven how much pride he really has for this game. Yeah they could have put it out in November of last year, It could have came out last month, but instead he is making sure that it will be a timless experiance. This is how games in this day and age should be made, and I think Kojima and Insomniac are the only ones that have figured it out. With the capabilities of the PS3 and 360 their is no reason AAA title should have anything to bitch about besides the story. By building a game that would have previously been the shipped product, and then taking the time to tweak it to perfection, they are putting MGS4, and R2 at this level.
I am a MGS fan and I expect great quality from these titles, and Kojima is going above and beyond even my wildest dreams. He has opened this game up to such an audiance that it is truly on the level of the Playstation brand itself. MGS has moved beyond the point in which it must be played like a stealth action game. MGS4 says, so you like FPS and run and gun, come on in, stop and pop is your game, welcome to the club, stealth action espionage is what you desire, we got that.
Uncharted and Ratchet were a sneak peak at what the next generation is going to be about. With GTA4 Xbox 360 will get a taste of what PS3 owners have been getting for the last 6 months. With MGS4 PS3 owners will get to expeciriance the complete Gen 7 package.
