What's the point here?
This argument is always annoying because I see people going "africans had slaves too!!!!" as some way to try and lessen the horror that was racism to the africans. (I'm not saying this is your intetion.)
In some cases, slavery was similar to woring for a person to pay off a debt you couldnt pay otherwise, treatment was not particularly inhumane, and it was definitely not something that passed on throughout generations. Africans definitely had no idea what shit their people were getting into when they were giving thier slaves to become slaves of the europeans.
Plus, the thing about many other groups is that there isnt a stigma against them or lingering effects from the time anymore. Are people racist to jewish or irish people besides old guys who occasionally come up in the news saying they were in world war 2?
