You just described every warriors game there :)

Warriors games are mindless hack and slash with little to no strategy involved. However those games are mindless fun anyway, and I find them very relaxing.

Heh, yeah it does however look like you can have mindless fun to have every now and then, so for that it's probably worth it .

Normally never would have been interested in the game or the series (and besides knowing it exists, I thus know next to nothing about it), but because there's a Zelda coat this time I'm curious just for the story and to see what kind of references to that series there are in this game. So for me, this collaboration seems to do it's job.

I have however, seen it's definitely not going to be worth the extra money for the special edition, scarf or not. I'm still hesitating to wait for a price-cut even, but then I won't get the free DLC, unless that price-cut happens in like a week...
