Jesus you're riding yourself even further into this, it's starting to not even be funny anymore Project Cars is distributed by Namco, but published by the Studio itself, the game is funded through community donations. And Minecraft was made and funded by Mojang, Microsoft only published the freaking Xbox version, the game itself was very much created according to the definition of an indie game. So your examples are really brilliant, dude. Just give it up, you're making up some serious bullshit here. When a games' development is fully funded by a publisher then there is nothing independent about it, how you refuse to accept that is mindboggling. |
Because your definition is wrong...
You know what? I'm talking to a wall right now. I bet you didn't ever check the link I provided. The link essentially says that the definition of indie is far too broad to be given to a single particular meaning. The term "indie" is essentially a marketing term. If a developer calls themselves indie, then who are we to say they are not? You can arguing this to the moon.
Your whole issue isn't about which games are indie or not. Your real issue are indie games in general. Why do you hate indies so much? Why do you need to feel the desire to defend Sony from all of these "horrible" indies, huh? Who cares if a game is labeled indie? So what? As long as the game is fun, you should be happy - yet you are not. Why is this? Why are you so adamant that Sony isn't focusing on indies when they clearly are? You're fighting a self-fulfilling war that benefits nobody but yourself. You hate indies so much that you feel the need to defend Sony from them. I kind feel sorry for you.
