So, to recap, RoTR was scheduled to come out on XBox and PS in fall 2015, about the same time as Uncharted 4.
So, on XOne it would have no competition, while on PS4 it would compete, and possibly split some sales between two games (probably hurting TR more)

Microsoft then pays Square Enix to postpone PS4 version. Thus leaving Uncharted with no competition and increasing its sales in the process. TR will probably sell the same number as they were supposed to on XBox, as there is no reason for anyone to switch console of choice, while also selling about the same on PS4 as they were supposed to when competing with UC4, only 6 months later. Thus making the same money from sales, plus a money hat bonus from MS.

Conclusion: MS paid money to increase sales of Uncharted 4.

Brilliant!

Quality does make a difference.  This has a chance to changing pretty much everything you just stated.  Without knowing anything about the game, story, graphics etc, who is to say that TR might end up being the better game.  Nothing is written just yet

Also, I doubt that TR on the PS4 would decrease sales of Uncharted 4 unless what I stated above becomes true.  I am sure MS really does not care how much Uncharted sale to people who already have a PS4.  What MS would like is that TR couple with the other games they are releasing entice people on the fence to purchase a X1.  Without know the lenght of the timed exclusive, if TR comes out a winner could be a nice little spot in MS library until the game release on the PS4.
