Not all kids/parents would know how to turn chat off, so you'd inevitably end up with kids being exposed to racist, sexist, homophobic filth. Nintendo have their image to consider.

So you're saying because some people are too dumb to use parental control options we should be limited? Horrible arguement.

"Hey, I don't know how to keep my kids off bad websites so the internet shouldn't exist" That's just as stupid as the argument you're presenting.
