Much like Uncharted the developers at Ready at Dawn are using the Naughty Dog formula of making the first game and getting down a proper foundational story and then multiplayer can come in. Multiplayer is secondary when it comes to games of a storied nature. Sure it kills the utility of the first installment but it pays dividends when everyone recognizes your characters face. Delsin, Nathan Drake, Nariko, Cole MacGrath (and much more) all became recognizable Sony faces because of focus on story and the importance of fleshing out characters and relationships. If you look for character art from artists, outside of Nintendo, Sony will be the next place with the most recognizable faces. I don't know a creative at my school that doesn't either own a Sony or Nintendo platform.
