Sony has been releasing less AAA games and thats a good thing?

Edit: Jokes aside, this is poor reasoning.

As others have already noted, development times and expense are simply very long, and Sony haven't managed that particularly well up until this point.

Additionally, the console has been selling brilliantly without much of a library behind it. This has no doubt created a massive disincentive for additional investment in games for Sony. Which, of course, is the value of competition from Nintendo and Microsoft.

^^^This statement is false lol

Development time is actually faster now. Mark Cerny talked extensively about the "time to triangle" approach they took when making PS4. He wanted to make sure he expedited the time it took for developers to get a game running exponetially. And succeeded. Gaming is easier to develop for now than it's ever been.

You sir are uninformed. Secondly, YEA! It's a good thing. Have you not read the thread to see the sound reasoning for that! lol

I know, I have read what Cerny said, and seen him at conferences. But thus far, particularly with delays (that are not limited to the PS4), he has been proven incorrect. Will that change? Mabye.

The only way it would be a good thing would be if Sony had such an overwhelming flow of AAA exclusives that we literally couldn't play them. That is not the case - in fact its stated Sony policy for that not to be the case. They've just fallen behind schedule sadly. And in the future, there is a real risk their runaway success will lead to underinvestment.

Still appears you haven't read the thread. These "delays" are not delays. The industry was not ready for next gen to release so soon. Next gen games were announced and given favorable release windows so more gamers would make the leap to next gen. A game like Batman was never releasing in 2014 and Rocksteady and Sony and MS knew that.

EDIT: ummm, that's exactly what the case was last gen lol so many exclusives released so close together and a lot got overlooked. Again, have you read the thread.
