He actually makes a good point. EA wouldn't want to piss off the retailers so games could be carved up to keep everybody happy. In the end you will be paying more to get the same.
Another thing I noticed is that Titanfall isn't part of the 10% deals. Is this a sign that all new releases or games that are selling well will not be part of the discount. If that is so, then the 10% discount is pretty useless unless they decide to keep the price high at retail to make the 10% the cheapest option. Again consumer loses.
What people need to understand is that EA are doing this to make MORE money. So if it looks like it's going to be cheaper for the consumer, it isn't. There is alternate motives behind this that we do not know about. Again, EA wouldn't create a whole new service for them to lose money.
I was on the fence about EA access before but that vid has made a few things click into place.
