It's not good because it only confirms that I didn't lie. It doesn't confirm that I am town, nor does it confirm that outlaw is town. If I'm bluffing you risk killing a townie. I'd avoid that move. |
Working through the angles, it seems to be the best move actually. You've already burnt your ability, with only the target left to decide. If you're honest and protect outlaw, outlaw lives and your alignment is as close to proven as we're going to get, since I sincerely doubt WoW is going to have scum get the power to prevent a lynch; there are games where that's possible, but I think it's fair to say it's highly irregular and frowned upon, so I doubt we're going to see such a situation here. Thus, either the runner up gets lynched (RCT, which in this case is fine by me), or no one is, but at least we've cleared one player. On the whole, a net positive.
By contrast, no other move gets us as much useful information. Voting RCT, who I assume you won't choose to protect, results in just a lynch, with no other player's alignment being as directly clarified as in the situation above. And if you do choose to protect RCT, it would still tell us a lot about your alignment, but it runs the risk that the runner up gets lynched instead, which is likely to be outlaw, and thus not what you want.
I'm open to suggestions, but playing through all the scenarios, it makes sense for me to
unvote: RCTJunkie
and
vote: Outlawauron
