I don't really like him. He comes off as a slimy used car salesman. Interestingly, many at MS do.

 But, you are right, he is unjustifiably used as a scapegoat. I highly doubt he was the one who got the DRM ball rolling.  That most likely came from higher up. But it is all put on him, so they can more easily forgive MS and justify being able to purchase their console.  

It's just as funny as people claiming Phil Spencer is the saviour of the Xbox brand, when he was there for the DRM BS, too. I believe he even made comments in support of it early on. No, he is no saviour. The changes to the One were things MS HAD TO DO, otherwise they have been even more dead in the water (even in the US), and would have happened regardless of who was put in charge. Ironically, the "saviour" may actually be the one in charge when/if MS decides to close/sell the Xbox HW division.
