I do my best to keep my emotions in check, but this is the first time I've heard that sort of comment. I'll take it as a complement. 
As for my heart not being in it, I kinda feel meh because of the pace. It's not like we've only meaningless discussion, but the long timeline has kinda strecthed the butter too thin if the expression works there.
I've played about 10 or so mafia games in real life, and maybe 7 or 8 on VGC. This was all in the infancy of VGC mafia games though. So I have some experience, but not a great deal.
