It's much like the few Xbox fans that waited for MGS4 - after the big amount of 3rd party titles that went multiplatform last gen, it wasn't unreasonable for them to expect more, regardless if the reality was that no such thing would happen. Thus, Halo and Gears are the perfect examples to place an expectation on, given PC gamers have already had a taste of them on their platform. Some games will come to PC from Xbox, while others won't. That's parallel to the expectations that gamers will probably have from now on. |
I get your argument, but its more of a theory.
Ultimately, Halo and Gears games did very well so we can presume the people with genuine interest just bought a Xbox 360. People that are still waiting for PC versions simply have little or no interest in Xbox. Hence, its PC or nothing for them.
