Respecting someone and saying they are whining are not mutually exclusive.  Based on the attitude presented regarding the "lack of games" I call it whining.

How very big of you.  The narrative of whining is comparing one to a child and a belittling one.  It's borderline flaming - you would have said "bitching" if you could get away with it.  

Couldn't "whining" be considered anything?  Any complaiant anyone has about anything?  Couldn't your telling him to stop whining be considered whining?  

Is bitching really considered flaming? Because it's a description of a behavior, not a person, therefore not a personal attack.
