I really don't like any of Nintendo's handhelds as far as hardware goes due to poor ergonomics and controls (among other things). I don't want gimmicks and I don't want unnecessary features like 3G or a HD screen jacking up the price. I want a simple, comfortable, affordable handheld that resembles a DualShock controller as closely as possible. Also, no more wimpy hinges ruining your otherwise reliable hardware.

3G and HD aren't unnecessary features. They are extremely nessecary. They are industry standards. A handheld without them in 2016 will be extremely outdated and antiquated.

As for resembling a controller, it's meant to be portable. If you can just buy a controller grip for that. And I owned four hinged Nintendo consoles. Never had an issue. If your systems are breaking so easily, you aren't taking proper care of them.

3G is useless, wi-fi is obviously a much better option. Also, why does a tiny screen need to be HD, it already has a far higher pixel density than any "HD" TV. Increasing the resolution is pointless and wasteful. No offense but your type of thinking is why we end up with systems like the Vita. Also, I am extremely delicate with my DS because it is poorly constructed, flakey garbage. I am hardly the only person who has issues with the clamshell design.
