I haven't read the whole thread but when Sega called it a day on the console market, it was a negligible loss, the market presence of the Saturn and Dreamcast were meagre and certainly were not making Sony or Nintendo lose sleep over their long term resources, hell, I only had a Dreamcast because of how ridiculously easy it was to get a hold of pirated games to play on it with the exception of multi-disc games.
