SSB 3DS wont hurt SSB WiiU. I mean did MK7 hurt MK8 Sales? NSMB2 hurt NSMBU sales? SM3DL hurt SM3DW sales? No,No, and Nope!As for Brawl less attach ratio vs Halo 3 by a little, i guess nothing will beat NSMBU amazing Attach ratio huh? So king of the gen right there  .
Its fine SSBB is the best selling fighting game of all time and nothing will come close to it. Halo 3 didnt get highest Shooter did it on X360 :P
That said its kind of ironic im talking about my 2 most played games of the last gen. Well anyway, we will see this holiday which will sell more, and pls dont use the 3DS will hurt WiiU excuse. If SSB for WiiU sells more than 4-5mil lifetime, 3DS didn't hurt it (compare sales to GCN+Melee for reference)

I'm sorry, I didn't know Smash Wii U was a sequel to Smash 3DS. Why are they releasing in the same season then?

SSB WiiU=/=SSB 3DS. They share the same playable characters (Mechanics which in the franchise is about the same). Thats it.
For reference NSMB2+NSMBU released same year, actually it released just a few months from 1 another.
