That's kinda the same thing but the opposite way around of what I said. Regardless, both rates prove the UK pound sterling has a higher value than the Euro...
If we use the rate you qouted : 1 EUR = 0.7943 GBP
According to that graph, console expenditure in the UK is around GBP 1.6bn and Germany is EUR 1.4bn. In terms of GBP, the German console market would then be worth 1.112bn GBP. So clearly the UK is ahead.
If you don't understand exchange rates, then convert each currency to one that you know like US dollars and figure it out.
